WASHINGTON --- Catholic won its fifth straight game and notched their second shutout in a row with a 3-0 blanking of Franklin & Marshall Saturday afternoon in the regular-season finale.

Goalie Erin Swift (Monmouth, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) made eight saves to preserve her third shutout of the season.

Senior Stephanie Roselle (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) scored twice and assisted on another while teammate Tricia Hines (Churchville, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy) added two assists.

The Cardinals (8-6) made it 1-0 just 2:14 into the game as senior Sondra Pires (Dartmouth, Ma./Dartmouth) buried home her first tally of the season with assists from Roselle and Hines.

Roselle would add her first of the day just four minutes later and add an insurance goal late in the second half.

The Diplomats' (7-9) Michelle Altman recorded seven saves.

Catholic, which clinched the No.4 seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament, will host York College in a first-round game on Sunday, November 2nd at 1 p.m.
