WASHINGTON --- Gettysburg's Meg Goddu scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Bullets to a 3-1 win over Catholic in non-league action Tuesday afternoon.
Goddu helped to set up Kristen Held in late in the first half at the 7:26 mark as Held redirected a pass over CUA keeper Erin Swift (Middletown, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) to give Gettysburg (2-2) a 1-0 lead.
The Cardinals (1-2) were able to tie the game as senior Stephanie Roselle (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) scored her second goal of the season, an unassisted tally, just three minutes into the second half.
But Goddu and the Bullets answered just two minutes later to reclaim the lead for good.
Bridget Siegel would add an insurance goal with just over 11 minutes in the game.
Swift posted four saves on the day while Gettysburg goalie Jessy O'Neill made six.
