SALEM, VA --- Three second-half goals in a 14-minute span helped Roanoke to a 4-2 win over Catholic in a non-league game Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 1-0 at the half, sophomore Melissa Schneider (Haddonfield, N.J./Paul VI) netted her first goal of the season, an unassisted tally, early in the second to tie the game.

But Roanoke (8-3) answered with three-straight goals to open up a 4-1 lead.

Senior Stephanie Roselle (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) added a late score, registering her team-leading fourth goal of the season with an assist from Christy Engstrom (Phoenixville, Pa../Springford).

Goalie Erin Swift (Middletown, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) made 11 saves for Catholic (3-4).

The Cardinals host Salisbury in CAC action on Wednesday, October 8th at 4:30 p.m.
