SALISBURY, MD. --- Catholic fell, 5-1, to Salisbury in the semifinal of the 2003 Capital Athletic Conference Tournament Wednesday afternoon.

The No. 2 ranked (NFHCA) Sea Gulls scored twice in the first half and added two more before Catholic could get on the board.

Senior Tricia Hines (Churchville, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy) had the lone goal for the Cardinals, with an assist from sophomore Jamie Punyko (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) in the 43rd minute.

Meghan Powell scored twice for Salisbury (15-1) which will face Mary Washington for the CAC Tournament title on Saturday.

CUA keeper Erin Swift (Middletown, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) posted 10 saves as Catholic was outhsot, 25-5.

Catholic ends the 2003 season at 9-7 under second-year head coach Gia Cillizza. Despite starting 1-3, the team rallied, winning six of its last seven games to finish over the .500 mark.
