CUA RANKED 19TH IN NATIONAL POLL; REPASS NAMED DIII PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Sept. 20, 2005) -- The CUA Lady Cardinals have entered the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll for the first time since 2003. The Cardinals are ranked 19th this week after upsetting then-13th ranked Gettysburg College at home and earning road wins at Goucher and Roanoke.

CUA is 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Capital Athletic Conference Play. Michelle Repass earned CAC Player of the Week honors and has added Division III Player of the Week honors from WomensFieldHockey.com. Repass scored the decisive goal in the upset of Gettysburg, had three goals and an assist in Saturday's 7-0 win over Goucher, and had the game-winning goal in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Roanoke.

The Cardinals will host Christopher Newport Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. and battle CAC foe Mary Washington next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
