Field Hockey will host William Patterson on Wednesday

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America women's soccer and field hockey squads have both earned bids into the East Coast Athletic Conference post-season tournament.  Women's soccer will travel to play Farleigh Dickinson-Florham on Wednesday afternoon while the field hockey squad will host William Patterson at Cardinal Stadium that same day at 2:30 p.m.

The field hockey team ended its season last Saturday in a 3-1 loss to Salisbury in the CAC Championships.  The team hit some milestones this season with two wins over ranked opponents including a 1-0 victory at Salisbury giving them their first home loss in 73 straight games.  The Cards went into post season with the #1 seed after winning the regular season.

The CUA women's soccer team finished the season 11-7-1 with a 5-1-1 record in conference.  The team lost in the semifinals of the CAC tournament in a 2-0 decision to Salisbury.  Throughout the year the Cardinals played three nationally ranked opponents and went on a four-game winning streak at one point.

Field hockey will have the fourth seed in the Mid-Atlantic region and soccer will be the sixth seed in the South.
