Chandler honored by Landmark Conference as POW
WASHINGTON – Senior Meredith Chandler has been named the
Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced
on Monday. Chandler netted three goals and handed out one
assist in a pair of wins for the No. 14 Cardinals last week.
On October 12 Chandler scored two goals, including the
game-winner, and added an assist for CUA in a 4-1 win over St.
Mary's. The California native then recorded her second
game-winner in as many games as she helped lead the Cardinals to a
big 4-0 road win at Scranton on Saturday, October 16.
For the season, Chandler has scored nine goals, good for third
best on the team, and added three assists for 21 points. 35
of her 44 shots have come on goal and she ranks second on the
Cardinals with two game-winning goals.
Chandler and the Cardinals return to action on Friday evening when
they play host to Drew in a pivotal Landmark Conference
showdown. Game time from inside Cardinal Stadium is scheduled
for 6:00.
