WASHINGTON – CUA senior Liz Grumbein has been selected to
participate in the 2010 NFHCA Division III Senior Game, which will
take place on Sunday, November 21 on the campus of Christopher
Newport University in Newport News, Va.
Grumbein has helped lead the Cardinals to new levels of success
this season as CUA is currently ranked 14th in the nation with a
record of 13-3.
A native of Allentown, Pa., Grumbein has started all 16 games for
CUA and been the leader of a defense that has posted eight shutouts
and ranks first in the Landmark Conference in scoring margin,

per game.
For her career, Grumbein has started 54 games for the Cardinals
and she earned All-Region and All-Conference accolades in 2009.
With Grumbein’s selection to the Senior Game, it marks six
straight years in which a Cardinal has earned the honor.
Marian Cassilly was CUA’s 2009 representative.
Grumbein and her Cardinal teammates return to action this
Wednesday when they travel to Pennsylvania to take on the
second-seeded Susquehanna Crusaders in the 2010 Landmark Conference
Tournament semifinals. Start time is slated for 4:00 and
