Ramsdell named Landmark Conference Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Following her two-win, nine-save performance
in a pair of contests for CUA last week, junior goalkeeper
Krystyanna Ramsdell was named the Landmark Conference Defensive
Player of the Week on Monday. Ramsdell helped lift the
Cardinals to wins over Gettysburg and No. 8 Rowan as they remained
unbeaten.
On September 14 the Cardinals downed Gettysburg 1-0 in
Pennsylvania. Ramsdell stopped three shots as she registered
her fifth consecutive shutout. Four days later, Ramsdell sent
back six shots in helping lead CUA past the nation's No. 8
ranked team, Rowan, by a score of 2-1.
Through six games Ramsdell has stopped 15 shots and registered a
save percentage of .938. She has allowed only one goal this
season, which came on a penalty stroke, and is surrendering just
0.17 goals per game.
Ramsdell and the rest of the Cardinals return to action on
Wednesday, September 22 when they travel to take on Mary Washington
in what is their final tune-up before opening Landmark Conference
play. Action gets underway beginning at 4:30.
