Alicia Grater is in her second season with the Catholic University field hockey program. Grater played at the University of Maryland, College Park, a NCAA Division I institution. During her time there, Maryland won three ACC championships and three national championships (2005, 2008, and 2009).

Grater was a three-time All-American and two-time First Team All-Region selection.  As a senior, she was named team captain, made the Academic All-District Second Team, and earned a spot on the Academic ACC Team and NFHCA National Academic Squad.

Grater coached in the Futures program for five seasons and she was a graduate assistant at La Salle University in 2010. Grater earned a B.A. in elementary education and currently is a kindergarten teacher at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes in Alexandria, Va.
