The CUA women's soccer team is excited to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime soccer experience during spring break 2008.  After over a year of planning, 15 players will be headed to England to train at the Liverpool FC Academy under the guidance of the LFC professional coaching staff.

Liverpool FC is one of the most famous and accomplished soccer clubs in England.  Training sessions will be conducted each morning, and three evening scrimmage games have been set up for the Cardinals against local university teams during the week.

Away from the pitch, the team will be able to see the sights in and around the city of Liverpool, including tours of historic Catholic churches - one of which is over 1,000 years old.  The final highlights of the spring break trip will be two live professional games at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium.  The Reds are currently in fifth place in the English Premier League and are in a battle to finish the season in the "top four", which guarantees a place in next year's UEFA Champions League.

Please be sure to check out our blog beginning on Sunday, March 2 for daily updates from the team!
