Landmark Conference announces Fall Academic Honor Roll

WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference announced its 2011
Fall Academic Honor Roll on Thursday and CUA had 36
student-athletes honored. The honor roll recognizes fall
student-athletes of sophomore standing or older with a cumulative
GPA of 3.2 or higher. In all, 249 student-athletes from
around the conference were honored.
Three CUA teams competed in their respective conference
championships this fall, including the Cardinals field hockey
squad, which captured its first conference title and NCAA
Tournament bid. CUA then defeated Eastern University 5-2 in
the first round of the tournament.
Men’s soccer and women’s soccer also advanced to their
conference championships, while volleyball made it to the
tournament semifinals and the women’s cross country team
posted an impressive third place finish at the conference
championship.
