Women’s Cross Country Places Fourth at Messiah Invitational

WASHINGTON – The Catholic Women’s Cross Country team took fourth place during the 18th Annual Messiah College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Grantham, Pa.

The women’s event at Messiah was a 6K race that included teams from Alvernia, Eastern, Gettysburg, Penn State – Harrisburg, and Valley Forge.

Rebecca Radcliffe crossed the finish line first for the Cardinals at 25:10.50, good for a 10th place finish overall. Catherine Kitz was not far behind, as the freshman finished the race with a time of 25:43:80, placing 13th.

The Cardinals will get back in action with the men’s squad, as the teams head to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct. 5.
