WASHINGTON – Catholic University head men’s soccer coach Travis Beauchamp will join an elite group of eight former Washington College student-athletes on Saturday, Oct. 12, when he is inducted into the WC Hall of Fame.
“This is such a wonderful honor for my family and me, I have such fond memories of time in Chestertown,” said Beachamp. “To be inducted into the Washington College Hall of Fame is beyond anything I could have ever imagined”
Beauchamp was a two-sport star in soccer and baseball. He was a three-time All-Centennial Conference goalkeeper in soccer, twice earning first-team recognition. He was also named to the All-Region second team as a senior. He finished with 367 saves and 15 shutouts in his soccer career. In baseball, Travis was a career .324 hitter and was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team at third base as a senior.
He received bachelor's and master's degrees in history from Washington and served as an assistant soccer and baseball coach for the Shoremen during graduate school.
