Prince Named Landmark Player of the Week
WASHINGTON - Jared Prince was named the Landmark men's basketball Player of the Week for his performances at the AJ Buchanan Classic at Manhattanville College.
The junior averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds over the weekend and was named to the All-Tournament Team. He scored a career high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the foul line on Friday against Eastern Connecticut. Prince also pulled down 6 boards and had 2 blocks and a steal. He followed that up with an 18 point-5 rebound outing on Saturday's 91-71 win over Medgar Evers.
For the weekend he shot an impressive 57.1% from the floor and 90.9% from the FT line and was perfect from downtown, going 1-for-1 against Medgar Evers. He also recorded 5 blocks and 3 steals for the Cardinals.
Catholic returns to the hardwood on December 4 when they travel to Loyola (Md.) for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff against the Division I Greyhounds.
