In November of 2011, CUA got its 2011-12 season underway with a
trip to Gainesville, Florida to face the Gators in the
O'Connell Center. It was a chance for Cardinals sophomore Billy
Donovan to match up against his father, Billy Donovan's team and an
opportunity for the entire CUA program to catch an inside glimpse
of the UF campus and all it had to offer. The Cardinals were
treated to a tour of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, they visited UF's
basketball practice facility, which houses part of the floor from
each of the Gators' trips to the Final Four, and they had the
opportunity to play in one of the nation's toughest arenas for
visiting teams, the O'Dome.
