D3hoops.com names Limberiou to Team of the Week

WASHINGTON – Steve Limberiou earned a second honor for his play last week by being named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.  The freshman sharpshooter averaged 25 points on an incredible 79% shooting in a pair of wins for CUA last week.

Limberiou began his week with a career-high 25 points on 7 of 8 shooting, including a 4 of 5 showing from 3-point range, in CUA's 81-72 win over DeSales on December 7.  The Pittsburgh native also hit 7 of 8 free throws and pulled down four rebounds.

On Saturday, December 10, Limberiou again lit it up to the tune of 25 points, this time on 8 of 11 shooting and a 7 of 9 performance from downtown, in a 72-65 victory at Richard Stockton.  Limberiou hit both of his free throw attempts and totaled three assists, two rebounds and a pair of steals.

Limberiou is currently second in scoring for CUA with a 15.2 points per game average, while shooting 52% from the field and 55% from 3-point range.  He is also averaging 4.3 rebounds per contest.

This marks the second time this week Limberiou has been honored for his performance from last week.  On Monday, the Landmark Conference named Limberiou its Player of the Week.
