Limberiou named Landmark Conference Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Steve Limberiou was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week on Monday, marking the second time this season he has received the award. Limberiou averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two wins for CUA last week, helping the Cardinals improve to 3-2 in the conference.
Limberiou netted 23 points on 7 of 13 shooting, to go along with 7 rebounds in a 77-64 win over Susquehanna on Friday, and then added 11 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds in CUA's 74-61 victory against Juniata the next day.
Limberiou, who previously won the weekly award on December 12, is averaging a team-high 15.1 points per game on 50% shooting from the field and 51% from 3-point range. He is also shooting nearly 80% at the foul line and pulling down 4.8 rebounds per game.
Limberiou and the Cardinals head back out on the road this weekend, beginning on Friday with a trip to New York to face Merchant Marine Academy. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
