WASHINGTON- Catholic University class of 1999 graduate Tim Connelly was hired as the new executive vice president of basketball operations for the Denver Nuggets. Connelly joins the Nuggets after spending the past three seasons as the assistant general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans.
Connelly started his career in 1996 as an intern for the Washington Wizards and was hired after graduating from CUA as an assistant video coordinator. He moved rapidly through the organization starting with player personnel and eventually to the director of scouting before leaving in 2010 to join the Pelicans.
In his new position with the Nuggets, he will work closely with the Nuggets president Josh Kroenke in reshaping both the front office and their ongoing search for a new head coach.
