Howes to appear on D3Hoops.com's Hoopsville on Thursday evening
WASHINGTON – CUA Head Coach Steve Howes, who has led the
Cardinals to a 16-2 record and No. 10 national ranking this season,
will appear on D3Hoops.com’s Hoopsvlle on Thursday
evening. One day after leading CUA past conference rival
Goucher, Coach Howes is scheduled to speak with host Dave McHugh at
7:50 p.m.

Howes and the Cardinals raced past Goucher on Wednesday by a score
of 72-46. CUA handed out a season-high 25 assists on 29 made
field goals and now sit at 6-1 in the Landmark Conference, in sole
possession of first place.
CUA began the season with a pair of wins over nationally ranked
foes and since that time, the Cardinals have found themselves in
the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll.
The Cardinals are a perfect 9-0 at home this season and they lead
the conference in scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin,
free throw percentage, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal
percentage, assists, turnover margin, and assist/turnover
ratio.
Hoopsville is the only show dedicated to Division III basketball
in the world. The show first hit the air in November of 2000 and
this season is the show’s 10th. Dave McHugh is the creator
and host of the show, which broadcasts out of studios in the
Baltimore area.
The show airs on Sundays and Thursdays from 7-9 pm and archives of
each show are available for those who could not tune in while it
was live. Each show, McHugh talks to coaches, players, reporters,
and experts from around the country as the show breaks down the
week that was and the week that will be in Division III
basketball.
Hoopsville has also traveled to the men’s basketball
tournament championship weekend in Salem, Virginia each year since
2001 and is planning on making the trip to the women’s
championship weekend in Holland, Michigan this season.
Following Thursday’s interview, Howes and the No. 10
Cardinals head to New York to face Merchant Marine Academy on
Saturday evening. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
