Howes and the Cardinals raced past Goucher on Wednesday by a score of 72-46.  CUA handed out a season-high 25 assists on 29 made field goals and now sit at 6-1 in the Landmark Conference, in sole possession of first place.

CUA began the season with a pair of wins over nationally ranked foes and since that time, the Cardinals have found themselves in the D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll.

The Cardinals are a perfect 9-0 at home this season and they lead the conference in scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin, free throw percentage, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, assists, turnover margin, and assist/turnover ratio.

Hoopsville is the only show dedicated to Division III basketball in the world. The show first hit the air in November of 2000 and this season is the show’s 10th. Dave McHugh is the creator and host of the show, which broadcasts out of studios in the Baltimore area.

The show airs on Sundays and Thursdays from 7-9 pm and archives of each show are available for those who could not tune in while it was live. Each show, McHugh talks to coaches, players, reporters, and experts from around the country as the show breaks down the week that was and the week that will be in Division III basketball.

Hoopsville has also traveled to the men’s basketball tournament championship weekend in Salem, Virginia each year since 2001 and is planning on making the trip to the women’s championship weekend in Holland, Michigan this season.

Following Thursday’s interview, Howes and the No. 10 Cardinals head to New York to face Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday evening.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
