WASHINGTON – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2013-14 Honors Court, which acknowledged 895 student-athletes from 335 college and universities for their academic excellence.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria: 1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player; 2. Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year; 3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution, and 4. Member of the NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
Following the individual academic awards that were released on Monday, July 22, the NABC announced the 2013-14 Team Academic Excellence Awards.
Catholic is one of more than 125 colleges and universities who were acknowledged for their academic achievement as a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the 2013-14 season.
