Senior Jay Howard was impressive with a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds, but the Terrapins rode a strong second half to the 76-59 win.

    The Catholic University of America played its third-straight game away from home to open the 2017-18 season and were topped by DeSales, 76-63. Senior Jay Howard posted game-highs with 22 points and nine rebounds, but the Bulldogs were able to shoot over 50-percent from the field to take the win.

    The Catholic University of America men’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season as they downed Hood, 100-82, at the Blazers’ Rotary Tip-Off. Senior forward Jay Howard powered the Cardinals with 32 points and 12 for his first double-double of the season. With the win, head coach Steve Howes becomes the programs all-time wins leader with 252 victories.
