1994-95 Season

Season in Review

The men's basketball team survived a tough preseason schedule to win seven consecutive games before bowing to CAC champion Goucher in the semifinals of the conference tournament. Goucher went on to advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Cardinals also renewed their 85-year rivalry with Mt. St. Mary's, which made the NCAA Division I tournament. Catholic challenged the Mount, trailing by only five points with eight minutes left in the game.

Catholic took top honors in the Coca-Cola Classic for the second time in three years, beating 1994 NCAA tournament participant Susquehanna 94-85 in the final. Senior forward John Douglas was named to the All-CAC first team, while sophomore point guard Sammy Briggs was named to the second team. Douglas was also named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Southern Region All-Star team.
