Catholic 74, Marymount 60

ARLINGTON, VA. -- Catholic won it's sixth game in a row as William Morley (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) scored a season-high 29 points in a 74-60 Capital Athletic Conference win over Marymount Saturday afternoon at the Verizon Sports Arena.

The senior was 12-of-18 shooting with two three-pointers and added 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double on the year. Teammate Blair Mills (Hebron, Md./Wicomico) contributed 18 points and 8 boards.

Leading 33-29 at the break, the Cardinals saw Marymount tie the game for the first time of the half at 42-42 on Ricky Palmer's three-pointer with 14 minutes to play. Palmer was one of three Saints to score in double figures, leading the team with 11 points.

Back-to-back three pointers by Patrick Satalin (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) helped CUA open up a 54-46 lead with 6:48 remaining. The sophomore finished with 12 points, all of which came in the second half.

Later in the half, Catholic connected on 10-of-12 from the free-throw line down the stretch to pull away for the win.

CUA improves to 16-5, 8-2 in the CAC while Marymount falls to 6-15 and 4-6 in conference play.

Catholic hosts Mary Washington in an important CAC game this Wednesday, February 11th at the DuFour Center at 8 p.m.
