High School: Two-year starting forward • Earned third-team All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA A) honors as a senior & second-team All-Anne Arundel County • MVP of county All-Star game & started for Suburban All-Stars in Charm City Challenge • Named honorable mention All-MIAA his junior year • Competed alongside Derek Young, who's now at Navy • Played volleyball as a senior & named first-team All-MIAA & first-team All-Maryland • Earned school's Math Award as a junior & senior • Honored with President's Academic Excellence Award at graduation • Played JV at DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Md., as a freshman & varsity the following year. Teamed with numerous Division I players, including Mamadi Diane (Virginia), Nigel Munson (Virginia Tech) & Jason Green (Vermont) • Also played JV football for DeMatha as a freshman. Broke his leg prior to start of next season on varsity & missed entire year. Notable: Played with Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies), eighth overall selection of the 2006 NBA Draft, in Ban the Brick Summer League in Washington in 2004 • Earned league All-Star honors in 2004 & 2005 • Selected for 41-60 All-Star game at Eastern Invitational Basketball Camp in 2005.
