Tough competitor & rugged defender.  High School: Four years on varsity, started final two • Averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists & 2 steals as a senior & 10 points as a junior • Named first-team All-Central Connecticut Conference (CCC) both seasons • Tomahawks won CCC North his junior year & advanced to second round of state playoffs the following season • Invited to play in preseason showcase & postseason All-Star games his senior year • Played with Tim Abromitis (Notre Dame) & Chris Prescott (St. Joseph's University) • On league's All-Academic team all four years • Coached by Jim Vaughan • Played AAU ball with Glastonbury Hawks.  Notable: Ran cross country & track throughout high school career & named All-CCC in both sports three times • Team won CCC North all four years in cross country & twice in track (2006-07) • 2006 cross country team was state & New England runner-up & ranked 11^th in the country • Surfs in Ocean City, N.J., during the summer.
