YORK, Pa.-- Jason Banzaf led with 24 points and seven rebounds but the Cardinals fell short as host York (Pa.) (2-0) defeated CUA (1-1) in the championship game of the 2009 White Rose City Classic on Monday evening, 82-76 in overtime.

York led for most of the second half as well, but with 3:33 left a Spencer Reed layup knotted the game at 64. The Cards led by as many as four with 1:54 remaining, but a layup and two free throws with under 15 seconds on the clock knotted the game at 71 and forced overtime.
In the extra session it was all York as the Spartans hit six straight free throws to take the 2009 White Rose City Classic title.
CUA will return to action on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. against Wittenberg in the opening round of the 19th Annual Days Inn Men's Basketball Tournament at Gettysburg College.
