Banzhaf Earns Another Post-Season Accolade


WASHINGTON- Catholic University men’s basketball forward Jason Banzhaf has added yet another accolade to his decorated collegiate resume, earning D III News All-America Honorable Mention status for his efforts in the 2009-2010 season.

The CUA junior had another stellar year for the Cardinals, averaging 14.7 points per game to go along with 7.8 rebounds per game. As a starter in all but one of the 26 games, the Livingston, N.J., native led the team to an 18-9 finish and their second consecutive ECAC bid.

Banzhaf finished the year with 397 points and 211 rebounds. He also surpassed the 1,000 point mark in a victory over conference rival Goucher College on December 5th. He currently sits #13 in career points for the men’s basketball program.

The talented forward also earned Third Team All-Middle Atlantic Region and First Team All-Landmark accolades in his third season as a Cardinal.
