Overview: This is the second year for this instructional based camp, which features one of the top players in lacrosse, Matt Ward, along with a group of college and high school coaches with years of coaching experience at all levels. Ward was one of the all-time greats at The University of Virginia and helped lead the Cavaliers to three Final Four appearances as well as two national championships. A role model both on and off the field, he was a team captain; recipient of the Tewaaraton Trophy, awarded to the the top player in the nation; the USILA Player of the Year in 2006 and was a three-time All-American selection. Currently, Ward plays for the Washington Bayhawks of the Major League Lacrosse and works for ESPN.  

Details: Matt Ward will sign autographs, host instructional sessions, give away prizes, and hang out with the campers. Full day campers receive lunch and dinner, attend all three lacrosse sessions as part of their tuition and have access to all athletic facilities during their day. Overnight campers receive three meals a day as well as the various other amenities.  

Opportunities: See Catholic University and spend quality time in a college setting, utilize the athletic facilities and university's amenities and meet the CUA Cardinal lacrosse staff, as well as a variety of other coaches who will be on hand to assist with the recruiting process and provide other information to campers to help them with their future college search.  Also, campers and families are encouraged to enjoy the wonderful city of Washington, D.C.!

Dates: Sunday, July 27 through Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Times: Check-in is between 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the DuFour Athletic Center

Cost: Day Campers = $375; Overnight Campers = $495.  Everyone is expected to pay a deposit of $250 online or with a check.  The balance is due at check-in on July 27.

Who: For boys ages 8-18 of all skill levels

Extra Features: Pool, newly renovated air-conditioned dorm rooms, full buffet all-you-can-eat meals in the new Pryzbola Student Center, play on new Cardinal Stadium turf field.
