Landmark Conference names Pfaff Defenisve Player of the Week
WASHINGTON – Following a career-high 14 saves and his
first win in goal, junior Patrick Pfaff was named the Landmark
Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Pfaff
helped lead CUA to a 7-3 win over Hood on Saturday, marking the
fifth straight year the Cardinals have opened with a win.
Pfaff stopped eight shots in the first half on Saturday and added
six more in the second. The Florida native sent back four
shots in the third quarter when CUA broke things open with a 3-0
scoring run.
Pfaff also scooped up three ground balls in his 60 minutes of
work.
Pfaff and his Cardinal teammates return to action on Tuesday
afternoon when they travel to Virginia to face
Hampden-Sydney. The opening face-off is set for 4 p.m.
