Landmark Conference announces men's lacrosse preseason poll
WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference released its 2013
men’s lacrosse preseason poll on Wednesday, and CUA is tied
with Susquehanna for fourth with 23 points. The Cardinals won nine
games a season ago and qualified for their third consecutive
conference tournament.
Brendan Englert is CUA’s leading returning scorer, after
notching 29 goals and 41 points in 2012. He is joined by Brian

of the Cards’ offense.
Other returning players to keep an eye on include Walter Hickey,
Camden Feldman, Ryan McDonough, Jack Drexel, Patrick Keelan, Dan
McCallan and Chris Wellock.
The Cardinals return all three of their goalkeepers from a season
ago, led by Patrick Pfaff, who started 13 games and turned back 166
shots.
Defending conference champion Goucher was selected to defend its
title after the Gophers earned 55 overall points and five first
place votes. Drew was next in line with 48 points, followed by
Scranton, CUA and Susquehanna, USMMA and Washington &
Jefferson.
CUA opens the season on Wednesday evening when the Cardinals
travel to Randolph-Macon to face the Yellow Jackets at 6:30
