Cardinals fall in season opener

SALSIBURY, MD. - Catholic dropped its 2003 opener to No.4 ranked Salisbury, 23-0, Sunday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference game.

The Seagulls' Dan Boyer netted a game-high nine goals for Salisbury (1-0, 1-0 CAC).

The Cardinals (0-1, 0-1 CAC) were outshot 51-10 but held a 49-25 ground ball advantage.

Junior Matt Monfet posted 10 saves while Andrew Couden recorded three.

Catholic returns to action on Saturday, March 1st as they host DeSales University here at the DuFour Center at Noon.
