Dan Ambrose is CUA's Assistant Athletic Director for Business
and is in his ninth year coaching men's lacrosse at the university.
He serves as the Cardinals Assistant Head Coach and in
addition coordinating the offense, he oversees practice planning
and team operations.
Among Ambrose's many coaching responsibilities, he coordinates
practices, and takes care of scheduling and daily preparations for
coaches and players. He continues to use his experience and
energy to help the Cardinals reach new levels of success each
season.
The 2013 season will mark the 19th year that Ambrose has coached
lacrosse at the youth, high school or college level. Prior to
joining CUA, Ambrose was the head coach at South Lakes High School
in Reston, Va., and the assistant at Southlake Carroll High School
in Southlake, Texas.
Ambrose graduated from Summit High School playing for the New
Jersey state champion Summit Hilltoppers. He then went on to play
at the University of Delaware.
Later, Ambrose received his B.S. in biology and Spanish from the
University of Nebraska and he then earned his M.B.A. from the
University of Texas-Dallas.
Ambrose also coaches with the Madlax All-Star teams and is
co-director of the Capitol Lacrosse Camp during the summer months.
He currently resides in Oak Hill, Va., and lives with his wife
Sandy, daughter Alex, and dog Piper.
