Dave Bennett will be in his fourth season coaching with the Cardinals lacrosse team. Bennett has coached numerous high school, middle school, and club teams since 2008. He previously coached at top-ranked Oakton High School in Oakton, VA. Bennett primarily coaches the offense. He also serves as the team’s co-Strength & Conditioning Coach, holding certifications from both the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). Bennett helped the Cardinals reach new levels of success last season which included a Landmark Conference Championship and NCAA playoff appearance in 2015.
Bennett graduated in 2008 from University of Delaware with degrees in Sociology and Religion. He graduated from nationally ranked Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., in 2003. Bennett most recently graduated from Catholic University with a Masters in Secondary Education. Previously, he studied Natural Resources at Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia campus. Bennett currently teaches in the District of Columbia Public School system. Both of Bennett's parents are CUA alumni, and he currently resides in Washington, D.C.
