Joe Stanilaus is starting his first season with the Cardinals
lacrosse team. Prior to signing on with the Cardinals, he coached
defense and worked with goalies at junior college powerhouse,
Howard Community College. He will be coordinating the defense.
Before entering the college ranks, Stanilaus was the head coach at North Brunswick High School in New Jersey. He jump started his coaching career as an assistant and goalie coach at Livingston High School, also in New Jersey.
In his playing days, Stanilaus earned MVP honors at Old Bridge High School, and was the winning goalie in the North-South All Star game his senior year. During his freshmen year at Kean University, N.J., Stanilaus started every game and led the Cougars to two consecutive playoff appearances.
In addition to coaching lacrosse, Stanilaus is a special education teacher in Baltimore, Md. He currently resides in Columbia, Md. with his wife Amy, daughter Jayla, and son Joe IV.
