Larson enjoying unique opportunity on international stage

WASHINGTON – Rising sophomore Chris Larson has been enjoying an once-in-a-lifetime experience this summer, playing for the Bahamian National Team in world cup qualifying action.  Larson helped lead his native country to a 6-0 victory over Turks and Caicos Islands on July 9 to earn his first career international cap.  He handed out two assists in the win.

The Bahamas has now shifted its focus to the second round of qualifying play, joining the US Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic in the first group stage of the CONCACAF bracket, after each of the countries won to complete aggregate victories in the preliminary round.

Larson appeared in five matches for CUA in 2010, helping to lead the Cardinals to their second consecutive Landmark Conference championship.  He tallied one assist on the year.
