Brennan and DiMarco receive All-Region accolades

WASHINGTON – Two CUA student-athletes, Mike Brennan and Mike DiMarco, were named to the 2011 NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team on Monday.  The pair of Cardinals, who helped lead CUA to 14 victories this season, received Second Team honors.

The 2011 Landmark Conference Player of the Year, and a First Team All-Conference selection, Brennan led the conference in points (29) and goals (13) this past season.  A native of Pennsylvania, he also led the Landmark in game-winning goals with five, while ranking fourth in shots (52).

Brennan scored twice in CUA’s 3-1 victory over Susquehanna in the conference tournament semifinals in November and he’ll enter his senior season with 21 goals.

A First Team All-Conference selection like Brennan, DiMarco scored four goals and handed out three assists this season, with one of his goals a game-winner.  DiMarco started 17 matches for the Cardinals and served as captain.

Off the field, DiMarco received Academic All-District accolades.
