Cardinals up to eighth in this week's regional rankings

WASHINGTON – CUA has moved up two spots in this week's NSCAA Regional Rankings to No. 8, it was announced on Tuesday.  The Cardinals also continue to receive votes in the D3Soccer.com national poll.  CUA is currently 10-3 overall, having won six straight matches, and a perfect 4-0 within the Landmark Conference.

CUA won both of its matches last week, shutting out McDaniel 2-0 on October 12 and then defeating Juniata 3-1 on the 15th.  The Cardinals are 5-1 at home this season and have already notched their fourth straight season of double-digit victories.

The Cardinals have been getting the job done with their defense, holding teams to 0.67 goals per game during their current win streak.  No team has scored more than once on CUA during this time.

The entire list of NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region rankings can be found here.

CUA is back in action on Tuesday evening when the Cardinals put their six-match winning streak on the line vs. league foe Goucher on the road.  Start time is slated for 7 p.m.
