CUA catches attention of national and regional voters
WASHINGTON – Sitting in first place in the Landmark
Conference and in the midst of a four-match winning streak, the CUA
men’s soccer team is beginning to receive attention
regionally and nationally. The Cardinals are ranked 10th in
this week’s NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region rankings and they are
receiving votes in the D3Soccer.com national poll.
CUA has been hot of late, losing just once in its last seven
matches. The Cardinals sit at 8-3 overall and 3-0 within the
Landmark Conference, making them the only team in the Landmark that
has not dropped a conference match.
Tuesday’s rankings come on the heels of CUA freshman Ben
Fleri receiving Offensive Player of the Week accolades from the
Landmark Conference on Monday. Fleri scored game-winning
goals in both of the Cardinals wins last week, including one in
overtime to lift CUA past Washington College on October 4.

CUA will put its four-match win streak on the line on Wednesday
evening when the Cardinals play host to McDaniel inside Cardinal
Stadium. Start time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
