Cardinals ranked No. 9 in NSCAA regional rankings
WASHINGTON – Fresh off of a pair of shutouts, including a
1-0 win over No. 19 Scranton, CUA moved into the No. 9 spot in the
NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region, announced on Tuesday. The
Cardinals are currently 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the Landmark
Conference, which places them in a tie for first place.
CUA has won five of its past six overall and four straight in the
conference. The Cardinals lead the Landmark in points (91)
and goals (34), while ranking second in assists (23).

This marks the second time this season CUA has been ranked in the
top-10 of the region. The Cardinals were No. 10 in the September 11
rankings.
Tuesday’s ranking comes a day after junior Kevin Romano
was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the
Week. The New Jersey native netted the game-winner vs.
Scranton and assisted on the game-winning goal vs. Goucher last
week.
CUA is back in action on Wednesday afternoon when the Cardinals
play host to Salisbury, the No. 7 ranked team in the South Atlantic
Region. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Cardinals travel to Madison, N.J., to face Drew
in the regular season finale. Start time is again 3:30.
