Men's Soccer Receives At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament
WASHINGTON – The Catholic University men's soccer team will make its third appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament under Head Coach Travis Beauchamp, after receiving an at-large big to the 61-team tournament which was announced on Monday.

The No. 24 Cardinals (12-5-2) will face No. 15 Franklin & Marshall (14-3-2) in a first-round game on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. Game time has not been set, the first-round doubleheader also features Dickinson (14-5-1) and Landmark foe Susquehanna (13-5-1) in the other matchup. The winners will meet in the second-round game on Sunday, Nov. 17 at Dickinson.
Catholic is making its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2010 when they dropped a 2-1 decision to Ohio Wesleyan in the first-round game at York (Pa.).
The last time CUA faced F&M was during the 1997 season, when the Diplomats won 1-0 at home.
Franklin & Marshall, which is located in Lancaster, Pa. received an automatic qualifier by winning the program's first ever Centennial Conference championship, a 2-1 overtime victory over Dickinson.
The first-round pod will feature two Landmark Conference teams in Catholic and Susquehanna, as well as two Centennial Conference teams in Franklin & Marshall and Dickinson. Susquehanna won its second consecutive Landmark title, while Dickinson received an at-large bid after falling to F&M in the Centennial Championship.
