Landmark Conference names Romano Player of the Week
WASHINGTON - After helping his team to a 3-0 victory over Moravian on Senior Day, Kevin Romano (Freehold, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
In the team's only game of the week, Romano was an instrumental part of the defensive line that denied the Greyhounds of any scoring opportunities during the team's fourth shutout of the season. Catholic allowed only five shots for the game, and only two on goal.
Romano and his teammates controlled possession for the majority of the game and only allowed one corner kick chance for Moravian.
The senior also made several moves up field into the attacking zone, registering one shot during the game.
The Cardinals are currently 6-3-2 and sit in second place in the conference with a 1-0-1 record.
