Magin posts two shutouts
to lead team to Swat title

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Junior goalie Todd Magin (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) posted back-to-back shutouts over the weekend to help Catholic win the Swat Kick Classic at Swarthmore College. On Saturday, Magin made five saves in a 3-0 victory against Swarthmore and followed that up with a three-save effort in a 2-0 blanking of Widener.

Freshman Dan Finn (Alexandria, Va./Bishoop Ireton) scored the eventual game-winner late in the first half to propel CUA to a 3-0 win against Swarthmore on Saturday.

On Sunday, senior Jason Arce (Clifton, Va./Paul VI) and sophomore Pat Hennessy (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) scored first-half goals and used the stellar play of Magin in a 2-0 win against Widener in the championship game.
