Men's Soccer Drops Game to Marymount
WASHINGTON - CUA men's soccer dropped a 2-1 game to Marymount (3-4, 2-0 CAC) Tuesday evening in Arlington, Va. A late goal by Tom Wasley proved to be the game winner as the Cardinals fell to 1-4-1 for the season and 2-0 in the CAC.
Marymount scored first with a goal in the 11th minute. Freshman Matt Brady continued his high-scoring rookie campaign and evened it up at 24:03. Senior captain Daniel Clifford tallied the assist for the Cardinals.
After fifty scoreless minutes, Wasley's shot broke the deadlock and made the final 2-1. The Cardinals were outshot 17-11 and awarded six corner kicks to Marymount's seven. Keeper Joe Schettino had eight saves for the game.
The Cardinals will next travel to Bridgewater on Saturday kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
