WASHINGTON-Tim McAneny's (Mount Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) goal in the 67th minute knotted today's match at one but the Royals offense netted two more tallies and handed the Cardinals their first loss in conference play and only their second overall.

Quinn Daly (San Diego, Calif./St. Augustine) made four saves, but allowed three goals on nine Scranton shots.  Offensively, the Cardinals took 20 shots, finding the target eight times, but the relentless work of Brandon Dombrowski held CUA to only one goal.  Nine Cardinals recorded at least one shot in the contest, led by Kevin Duffy (Marlton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) who tallied four shots.

CUA returns to action Saturday as the Cardinals will travel to Drew University.  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
