Dillon Named Athlete of the Week
Cards defeated Moravian in first conference match

WASHINGTON- Catholic University men's tennis player John Dillon (River Forest, Ill./Fenwick) has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week after two big wins this past Saturday.  Dillon has helped guide the team to a 5-2 record do far for this school year.

Dillon played a major role as CUA opened Land­mark Conference play with a 6-3 win over Moravian. He cruised to a straight set singles win at the second singles posi­tion, and battled to a tough victory in doubles play as well. He earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory to win his seventh singles match of the season. Dillon began the day by teaming with Andrew Kracht to claim a tight 9-7 win at first doubles which helped the Cards build a lead it would not relinquish.

The Cardinals will host York College tomorrow for a non-conference match.
