Kyle Kramer named men's tennis captain
WASHINGTON – Junior Kyle Kramer, a native of Chester
Springs, Pennsylvania, has been named captain of the CUA
men’s tennis team, Head Coach Marty Dowd recently
announced. A standout performer, Kramer has earned a 21-7
singles record during his first two years in the red and black.
Kramer posted a 12-2 singles record last season, including a 5-1
mark against Landmark Conference foes. He also went 12-3 in doubles
action, with a 4-2 conference record.
Earlier this academic year, Kramer went 3-0 in singles play and
1-1 in doubles, in helping to lead the Cardinals to an unbeaten
fall season.
CUA has recorded 15 winning seasons in the last 16 years,
including a 15-6 mark last season.
Dowd, the all-time winningest coach at CUA, has posted a record of
523-336 during his time with the Cardinals. He’ll begin
his 49th season on March 5 when CUA faces Lebanon Valley in Hilton
Head, S.C. on its annual spring break trip.
