Men’s Tennis Advances to Championship Contest with 5-1 Win on Thursday

WASHINGTON – With five wins over Scranton, the Catholic University of America men's tennis team secured their slot in the Landmark Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday, April 26 against Juniata.

The Cards tallied three points during singles play in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 slot.

2. Brian Bradley defeated Matt Prendergast 6-0, 6-0

3. Cassian Utrie defeated Brian Williams 6-2, 6-2

5. Jason Quisberth defeated Kevin Murphy 6-1, 6-1

CUA added two additional wins to the semifinal contest with No. 1 and No. 3 wins.

1. Juan Lorido/Cassian Utrie defeated David Teres/Brian Williams 8-1

3. Brian Bradley/Rocky Alaqbani defeated Kevin Murphy/Michael O'Malley 8-2 

Sunday's contest will take place in Huntingdon, Pa. 

Note: The winner of the championship will snap Drew's six-year reign as Landmark Champions.
