Lorido, Bradley, Utrie Named to Men's Tennis All-Landmark Teams
WASHINGTON - The Landmark Conference coaches and selected three Cardinals to the All-Landmark teams, as announced on Wednesday.
Freshman standout Juan Lorido was Catholic's lone representative on the Singles First Team after leading the Cardinals to the program's first ever Landmark Conference championship with a 5-4 win over No. 1 Juniata.
With the match tied at 4-4, Lorido triumphed for a 7-6 (7-5), 6-0 win and was named the Tournament MVP after going undefeated in singles and doubles in both the semifinal and championship matches.
Lorido and Cassian Utrie were selected to the Doubles First Team. The duo was 8-0 at the No. 1 spot for the Cardinals with a perfect 5-0 record in conference.
Utrie was also voted to the Singles Second Team along with fellow senior Brian Bradley. Bradley was the No. 2 singles man for the Cardinals, while Utrie held down the No. 3 spot. Both won their matches in the Landmark Championship match.
