Men's Tennis Falls to Moravian

WASHINGTON - The men of The Catholic University of America tennis team fought tough in their 7-2 loss to Moravian on Saturday.

In doubles action, Juan Lorido and Jan Lasota lost a close match 8-5. The teams of Matt Holtschneider, Rocky Alhaqbani, Conor Wilson, and Jon Purowitz lost their face-offs 8-4 and 8-3 respectively.

In singles action, Juan Lorido started the Cards off right with straight set wins 6-2, 6-3. Catholic went on to lose the rest of the singles matches with the exception of the 4th flight which brought upon a great tie-breaker win for Alhaqbani 0-6, 6-2, 13-11 in order to make the final overall score 2-7.

The Cardinals will attempt rally as they face the Drew University in a conference match Sunday, March, 29.
